Battery Care

First charge

The first charge isn't any different from the 2nd, third, or 74th charge with lithium-ions. These batteries have built in circuits to automatically turn charging on and off, so there is no point in doing all the normal rithuals with charging it before using it, charging it for XX hours etc etc. If you have a lithium-ion, you're clear, no matter what the manual says. The XX hour first charge myth is left over from times with other battery types, and isn't relevant.It should be noted however, that letting the device charge before you use it does allow you time to actually READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you end up doing something you'll regret

Fully disharge/charge

Another myth, and a bad one. The only purpose ever in discharging a lithium-ion battery is to reset it's timer, so to display a more correct estimate for remaining battery time. Other than that, discharging your battery completely before recharging actually hurts the battery, as it's not designed to do so. Lithium-ions have a optimal life span when charged to about 3.92V, while 4.2V is max - and not recommended for extended periods of time. Also, charging a battery from 0% to 70% takes less time than to charge it from 70% to 100%, due to the charge method of such batteries.Bottom line is that you should charge your battery often, and not max it out each time. It's better to charge it almost full many times than to fully charge it one time, in fact it might seriousely increase the life span of the battery if you charge it randomly.

There are a few concerns about upfront payment. Below will be a more detailed explanation on how it works.

Paypal payment system is widely use in the world. iT shop provides direct payment for some of its product, including all media players, and some IT products.

You do not need to signup for a Paypal account to make the purchase.

To purchase any item from us.

Simply click on the "add to cart" button and paypal will direct you to make the payment. This payment can be made using credit/debit cards (without the need to sign up for paypal), or using your own paypal account. Alternatively, user can use bank transfer to make the payment. For step by step instructions on updating your firmware, please email us. Do include your receipt no and serial no when requesting for the guide. This is strictly for iTshock customers only.

Onda care.

Do not reformat it unless necessary. Please create the root folders after your format.
Do not overcharge your player. Typical 2-3 hours for full charge.
Do calibrate your screen to fit your style of motion.
Do calibrate your battery if you experience short playing hours. (Details below)
3rd party charger is not recommended. For best results, use a motherboard USB output.
Always safety remove the player in your desktop.

Battery Care

First charge

The first charge isn't any different from the 2nd, third, or 74th charge with lithium-ions. These batteries have built in circuits to automatically turn charging on and off, so there is no point in doing all the normal rithuals with charging it before using it, charging it for XX hours etc etc. If you have a lithium-ion, you're clear, no matter what the manual says. The XX hour first charge myth is left over from times with other battery types, and isn't relevant.It should be noted however, that letting the device charge before you use it does allow you time to actually READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you end up doing something you'll regret

Fully disharge/charge

Another myth, and a bad one. The only purpose ever in discharging a lithium-ion battery is to reset it's timer, so to display a more correct estimate for remaining battery time. Other than that, discharging your battery completely before recharging actually hurts the battery, as it's not designed to do so. Lithium-ions have a optimal life span when charged to about 3.92V, while 4.2V is max - and not recommended for extended periods of time. Also, charging a battery from 0% to 70% takes less time than to charge it from 70% to 100%, due to the charge method of such batteries.Bottom line is that you should charge your battery often, and not max it out each time. It's better to charge it almost full many times than to fully charge it one time, in fact it might seriousely increase the life span of the battery if you charge it randomly.

Calibration of battery.

There have been a few incidents where battery status icon continue to show animated charging after a long night charge.

By default, onda players are design to cut off charging when it is full charge. However, as for some unknown reasons, some player continue to show charging status even though the player might have been fully charge. To solve this issue, calibration of the battery is the best option.

However, before you go about starting your calibration for battery, try to unplug the power and plug in again to see if the battery icon still show charging, as this may arise due to loose connection.

Calibration of battery is simply draining out your player battery to flat charge status so that your player turns off by itself and cannot be on due to no more charge. After that, perform a solid good long hours charge to your player. This will help your player regain correct status of your battery charge.

Warranty for Used Products

iT shock/ iT shop hereby states that, it warrants products sold under "Used products/Hardware" with 3 days warranty from the date of collection.

As due to mostly 2nd hand products, these products are quite debatable as user might overclock, or putting the product in extreme conditions to test for it. While we ensure all our products sold are in working condition, we cannot assure the kind of usage by the customers. Therefore it is only fair for both parties to check the product for physical damage on the point of transaction. Once the product is tested working, it is consider a deal closed.

This includes players that is sold as used, or under the title of "iT shop (Used Products)".

Direct Distributor Warranty

The facts- Singapore do not have any service center of the china branded players like Onda, Ramos and Ainol. To ensure our customers get genuine parts and service from these brands, iTshock recommend the players to be ship to overseas service center for servicing.

We believe in quality after sale service. Unlike any other local forum or blogspot sellers, we offer you free return shipment warranty. This works by sending overseas for servicing at your own cost. Return shipment from the overseas service centre will be bear by us.

iTshock do not increase the price of the player to provide you with a "1 year local warranty". These local warranties may still require you to wait while they send them overseas for servicing. And you paid S$30 or more extra (The 1 year local warranty)for a forward shipment of your player, while in iTshock, it cost less than S$15* to send a player overseas.

We also do not decrease our price and simply put direct distributor warranty for marketing purpose. We believe in providing you a warranty you can use to protect your investment.

If you player works well, the amount you save is enough to buy a 8GB memory card.

Only iTshock provides you this service!

This limited warranty does NOT cover the followings:

Physical/Cosmetic damaged.
Dead Pixel/ Bright Dot less than 3 faulty pixel.
Dust in screen (May arise due to manufacturing Q/C) or improper care.
Burnt
Battery burnt/ spoilt as due to overcharge or 3rd party charging device.
Any acts of god as due to nature or human actions, including water contact with the device.
Firmware faults eg: Hang, Lags and improper display of message
Unable to boot up due to upgrading of firmware.

We cover all products sold which is not in an usable condition due to manufacturing only.

Terms and Conditions

Our players is covered by a 1 year limited warranty by the respective manufacturers. As most of our players do not have a service center locally, you can only send the player to overseas service centre for repair.

To repair your player, you can either

Pass to your friend, or when you are on a trip to Hong Kong/ China go down to the respective service center to service it.
Or, send the player overseas using registered mail (Cost less than S$15* per player). By sending to the designated address in our receipt, our team will help you send it for repair. Once the repair is done, we will send the player back to you.

iTshock customer enjoys free return shipment. You only need to pay for one way shipment to our overseas pickup address.

For option "2", the shipping address is printed on the receipt. Please label your mail with:

iT Services Policy

iT services hereby states that:

We will refund, all payment made to iT shock in the event that the problem cannot be resolved as due to our inability to fix the problem. This does not includes situation where replacement parts need to be purchase and customer refuse to accept the work out amount.
In the event where hardware replacement is needed, we will try our best to get it fix within a short time frame of 1 week. Computer/Laptop may be required to be bring back for speedy services.
During clean format of computer/laptop, customer will have to ensure that all its data is backup. iT services will not be responsible for any loss of data as due to formatting. There might be times where during formatting, the hardware then show symptoms of hardware failure, iT services will not be responsible for this situation.
We believes in service integrity, in the event where your equipment is left with us for further trouble shooting, we will report all hardware changes made to your equipment.
Customers will need to provide relevent information to us before we proceed down to service your computer. In the event that the problem can be easily resolved by mail, we do not charge anyone for this service.
We do not repair laptops. We will only help to upgrade parts that is define upgradable by vendor. eg: Harddisk, Ram.

All the above are subjected to changes on a case by case basis. Customers will need to accept the above mention policy before any work is made on the service computer.

Yes we are. However, our local shop warranty package allows you to purchase up to 1 month local warranty. This service is only available at the point of purchase. You click find out more here.

How do i know if my player qualifies for the warranty services?

All players sold by iTshock carries a 1 year limited warranty by our distributor. Please read "Warranty for Rmvb Players" for details.

How can i protect my purchase? This is a webshop!

There are many concerns about buying through a webshop. However, we iTshock is determine to bring the best value to you and will be strong and alive! As our players are imported overseas. We have an agreement with our overseas distributor to honour the warranty for our players. Unless the service center of the player closed down. If not your player warranty will still continue even without iTshock.

How safe is it to send my player overseas for servicing?

100% safe. Once you have sent your player using registered mail, you can come to us to check your status of your player. However, users may send to the wrong address or players is being damaged during the shipping. If you are unsure, please approach us for details. Why do i need to wait for the goods to arrive?

As we tried to give the best value for money, we are keeping our inventory low. Most of the time our stock on hand will run out very fast. Therefore, if you are not quick enough you may need to wait for the next shipment to arrive. We promise our customers the latest release from the factory, not from the warehouse.

Why so long? 5 to 10 working days?

The shipment of the product is not within our control. There may be public holidays or delay in the shipment. Hence, we are trying to keep a few stock on hand so as to let you enjoy it. 5 to 10 working days is a buffer. Most of the time for Portable Media players the stock arrive within 5 working days. Once the stock is here, we will get into contact with the buyer straight.

Where is your shop located?

We are an online based seller. Therefore, we do not have a physical shop. Only through online, we can offer you a low price for all our products. We operate on a home office based. Located near woodlands, hence we will have all our dealings at Woodlands Mrt station.
